Last night we made a group dinner! We pitched in our efforts (and food) and were able to make quite the Italian dinner without having to make a stressful visit to the grocery store! haha. We improvised up some pasta sauce thanks to Jessi. We have yet to find any pasta sauce... we think everyone here makes it from tomato paste... so we tried to do the same. We made TONS of penne pasta in the massive pot you can see in the picture. The sauce tasted very good especially once we melted in some Sophia cheese. We have yet to find any recognizable cheese other than bleu... but this Sophia cheese is very delicious. We cooked up some chicken seasoned with tomatoes, onions, rosemary and some other spices to eat with the pasta along with some toast. The butter is not salted so you have to season to taste! :) While it was a little hectic with 5 girls in our miniature kitchen trying to do different things, the meal was delicious and after an hour of preparation we were ready to eat. Pofta Buna! Even better news... we have lots and lots of leftovers and this definitely helped bring the girls closer together.
